We started our 5th investigation on the morning of June 30, 2003. We had high hopes for our journey, even though the base is now designated a state park. While someone might question how could we hope to find anything secretive when the entire base is open to the public, we were using this fact to our advantage. Being able to move freely throughout the base gives us a tremendous advantage, and we did make some very good observations while there. While we still have not been treated to seeing Al Bielek falling off of the Eldridge in mid air, nor come face to face with those ever elusive reptoids, we did make some interesting observations, enough so that we would like to go back in a short while to collect some samples of various things such as soil and vegetation. It has been suggested that the wildlife there acts in a bizarre manner, however we can not confirm this. We did see a white tail deer and a few hares, but none were menacing or threatening in any way. I say this with a bit of dry wit, however people have claimed to me to have been attacked by deer there.
At this point I would like to thank all of the people who e-mail me. Some of the suggestions that have been made really have gone a long way to help me focus more on what to look for. I will tell you this though, while not very scientific, there really is a weird feeling to the base. Its hard to describe, other than it is not the type of place I would like to walk through by myself in the dark. We did encounter quite a few people on our exploration, it was strange after having the place to ourselves, so to speak.
One of the things we really hoped to locate there is an array of antenna's referred technichally as the G.A.T.R. The acronym stands for Ground to Air Transmit Receive, but bears a striking resemblance to the HAARP ionospheric heaters located in Alaska. HAARP stands at the center of a maelstrom of conspiracies, one of which is allegations of weather modification. Well we did find the array, but there is much more to the story. We also wanted to verify a claim made by John Quinn in his writing "Montauk Activity", that the maintenance building has on it a giga-watt power meter. It should have been easy enough to verify, and if it is true it really is a major breakthrough on the side of conspiracy theorists. Personally, I am more of the mind that whatever projects were being carried out at Montauk have probably moved to Brookhaven National Laboratory, which is quite a different story than Camp Hero. You are likely to get shot if you "sneak" into Brookhaven, and God knows how many federal laws you would be charged with violating. I am, however, not quite convinced that there still isnt some type of operation being carried out at Camp Hero, regardless of the fact that the base is open. The entire base is open, except for a large area surrounding the SAGE radar, which coincidentally sits on top of one of the largest underground structures on the base, a fact we more or less verified in our 3rd investigation. |
